Roof Repair - Wauwatosa
Challenge
Since this home is in the process of being put on the market, it’s a good thing all of our warranties are transferable!
Shingles were curling, and deteriorating, making the roof on this home look 10 years overdue- and it was! A new roof typically lasts about 20 years. That’s a lot of wear and tear on a roof, especially in Wisconsin.
Solution
We fixed this problem by replacing the roof on the house and garage, as well as replacing the fascia, soffit, and gutters on the garage.
In order to do this total replacement, we removed the existing roofing to wood.
Then, installed IKO GoldShield Ice and Water protector on all drip edges, walls, chimneys, and valleys. We also installed MFM tape on all seams of plywood according to code.
We installed new F8 aluminum drip metal on all eaves of the roof deck, and a new C4 aluminum.
We installed new vent pipe boot flashings, and new aluminum chimney flashing along with new IKO Dynasty architectural lifetime shingles, with ridge vents and ridge caps on ridges.
To avoid those icicles, we removed and installed new gutters. We then wrapped the fascia board with aluminum on all eaves of the garage and installed new aluminum soffits on all eaves of the garage.
After all was said and done, we hauled away all roofing debris and left a brand new roof!
