Robert and his wife in Sussex, WI, reached out to Klaus Roofing Systems by Buck Buckley when they began noticing leaks in a couple of rooms on the second floor of their home. Concerned about the impact on their home and the upcoming winter season, they wanted to ensure their roof was repaired with high-quality craftsmanship. After dealing with the aftermath of poor-quality work from a previous roofer, they were ready for a solution they could trust.   During our inspection, we discovered the root of the problem—rotted wood under the roofing materials and subpar workmanship from the previous installation. Our team got to work right away, taking a meticulous approach to restore their roof properly. We began by moving breakable items away from the eaves and protecting the property with tarps. The existing roofing was removed down to the wood, allowing us to replace any rotted or damaged wood with durable cdx plywood. We reinforced the structure by back-nailing any loose plywood to ensure a solid foundation.   To prevent future leaks, we installed KRS SealoronXT Ice & Water Protector along all drip edges, walls, chimneys, and valleys. We also added VeloraONE Synthetic Underlayment, new F8 aluminum drip metal, and C4 aluminum rake metal for enhanced durability. The new IKO Dynasty architectural lifetime shingles provided a fresh, polished look while offering Class 3 impact resistance to withstand Wisconsin’s harsh weather.   Throughout the project, we kept Robert and his wife informed, offering transparency and addressing their questions along the way. The end result was a beautifully restored roof that not only eliminated the leaks but also strengthened their home’s defense against the elements. Robert and his wife were thrilled with the attention to detail and professionalism, feeling confident that they could enjoy the winter season without any worries of a leak.
