Four Layers of Shingle
In this photo you can see four layers of shingle with the bottom one being cedar shake.
Cedar Decking
This type of decking is typically installed under cedar shingles. This cannot be used for asphalt shingles because of the spaces between boards. The nails used to keep the shingles attached could completely miss and have your roof blowing away in the wind.
New Decking
Since the decking the house had was incomplete, we finished it off with plywood so that asphalt shingles could be properly installed.
Original Chimney
This chimney had crumbling bricks at the bottom and needed flashing.
Finished Chimney
We installed high quality flashing to prevent water from leaking through and damaging the home.
Ice and water/ Underlayment
After installing new decking, we covered the roof in IKO GoldShield Ice & Water and IKO RoofGard Synthetic Underlayment.
